Abdominal Cavity
The abdominal cavity is a subdivision of the abdominopelvic cavity found between the diaphragm and the pelvic girdle, or hip bones. Organs housed within the abdominal cavity include the stomach, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, spleen, small intestine, and a portion of the large intestine. These organs are part of the digestive and endocrine organ systems.
