Biosafety level 4
Biosafety level 4 or Containment Level 4 (CL4) is the maximum containment lab and it is suitable for working with dangerous or exotic organisms (Hazard group 4).
Personnel must use positive pressure suits with a segregated air supply. The laboratory must be completely isolated and have the following features: only accessible through multiple airlocks, multiple showers, a vacuum room, an ultraviolet light room and other safety precautions to destroy any trace of hazardous material.
There are only a few dozen BSL-4 labs around the world.
