The mother has two X chromosomes with the colourblind gene. Two sons each inherit an X chromosome with the colourblind gene and a Y chromosome. There is a 100% probability a son will be colourblind. Two daughters each inherit a colourblind X chromosome and a normal X chromosome. There is a 100% probability a daughter will be a carrier for the colourblind gene.
