Exiting the lab

After completing work in the lab, a series of strict precautions must be carried out to ensure a safe exit.

• Working surfaces must be wiped down with the proper disinfectant at the end of each working day, and the floor should regularly be mopped using a disinfectant.

• All waste material should be autoclaved before removal from the suite. Disposable gloves should be put into the autoclave bag, and lab coats should be hung on the hooks in the laboratory.

• All staff should sign in and out of the lab.
