Forest

The forest biome is characterized by the presence of trees. Trees are the main characteristic of forests, which make the landscape look very similar regardless of the type of climate. However, forests are very diverse. This category can include a tropical forest (amazon forest) but also the taiga (forest of pine trees in high latitudes). For this reason, the temperature range of forests is normally very variable depending on the type of forest. However, the average rainfall of forests is on the high end when compared to other biomes as deserts or the tundra.

The diversity of species in the forests is normally very high. In forests, we can normally find a big diversity of both big and small animals since forests contain a lot of small habitats for many different species.
