Grassland

The grassland is the type of biome that is dominated by grasses. Of course, the reason for it to be dominated by grasses is related to the climate in the region. Grasslands are characterized by a strong seasonality throughout the year. Rainfall mostly occurs during the wet season, where it rains every day, and it normally lasts for around 6 months, while the other 6 months are mostly dry (dry season). Temperatures in the grasslands are highly variable not only throughout the year but also depending on the latitude (steppes in Russia or African Savanna).

The fauna and flora in the grasslands are very diverse (one of the most diverse terrestrial systems in the world). Grasslands are dominated by grasses, but trees are not uncommon. The diversity of animals is very high since the productivity of the whole system is very high.
