Lathantium

The Lathantium is a fictional organism on the fictional exoplanet of Astakos IV.

The Lathantium is a wiry root with red leaves that can be found spreading on ground level and below ground of plain-like environments. The stem has a rubbery texture and would be particularly difficult to break down to extract nutrients, and even the leaves have poor nutritional content.

An initial analysis revealed the stem to be particularly rich in Phosphate, which it might be to extract efficiently from the deeper layer of soil.
