Motor (Efferent) Division

Motor neurons that innervate skeletal muscles. These neurons are said to be efferent because they conduct action potential AWAY from the central nervous system. The motor division can be further divided into somatic and autonomic nervous systems.

The somatic nervous system controls voluntary movement, whereas the autonomic nervous system controls involuntary movement.
