NGS machine

A Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) machine is a scientific instrument designed to automate the DNA sequencing process, analyzing thousands of samples at the same time.

The NGS machine will require a sequencing Chip with a flow cell on which the sample DNA will be loaded. The NGS machine will allow the generation of DNA clusters, as well as reading the specific fluorescence of each nucleotide successively added to the complementary strand.

Once the sequencing is over, the order of the DNA bases is reported as a text string, called a read.
