Organ System
An organ system is a collection of two or more organs that work together to accomplish a function.
For example, the respiratory system is an organ system consisting of numerous organs, such as the nose, trachea, and lungs. Together these organs move gasses into and out of the lungs, permitting gas exchange to occur between the body and the environment.
There are eleven organ systems in a human, they are:
- Integumentary System
- Skeletal System
- Muscular System
- Nervous System
- Endocrine System
- Cardiovascular System
- Lymphatic and Immune Systems
- Respiratory System
- Digestive System
- Urinary System
- Reproductive System
Together, these organ systems form the entire organism.
