Parasternal short axis view in the papillary plane

With the parasternal short axis view in the papillary plane, the following structures can be visualized:
- left and right ventricles.
With this projection, you can assess:

size of the right ventricle in relation to the left ventricle,

left ventricular size and systolic function, as well as regional wall motion abnormalities,

left ventricular wall thickness.
