Experimental set up (ions)

Materials required for the experiment:

• Whatsman filter paper

• Glass jar

• Rubber cork with a hook in the center

• Test tubes

• 1-2% solution of Pb(NO₃)₂ and Cd(NO₃)₃

• Ethanol

• 6 M HNO₃

Hazards:

• Flammable: Ethanol

• Toxic: Lead nitrate and cadmium nitrate
