Ultrasound

Ultrasound is high frequency sound waves that are used to make an image. As part of a prenatal screening test, ultrasound is used to determine the gestational age, measure the nuchal translucency, examine for structural abnormalities and developmental defects, and locate the placenta. An ultrasound scan can be conducted at any time during pregnancy.
