Light waves

Light exhibits certain behaviors that are characteristic of any wave and cannot be explained with a purely particle-view. Light reflects, refracts, diffracts, undergoes interference and exhibits the Doppler effect. Light behaves in a way that is consistent with the common understanding of waves. Visible light waves are part of a large group of waves, called electromagnetic waves.
