Mitosis: Using a toxic compound from the yew tree in cancer therapy

In this lab you will answer the big question of how a poison extracted from a plant can affect cell division. You will learn about the progression of the mitosis phase using an onion root tip. You will also utilize a light and fluorescence microscope to learn the regulation of the cell cycle.
