Cell Membrane and Transport: Learn how transporters keep cells healthy
Welcome to the Cell Membrane and Transport Simulation. As a scientific expert for a funding agency, you will visit a synthetic biology lab to see whether their project to use artificial cells to produce insulin powered by photosynthesis has the potential to change the world. You will build transporters into the plasma membrane in a model of the cell to understand the selective barrier function of the cell membrane and measure transport across the membrane using fluorescence microscopy.
