Whole genome sequencing

The recent development of Next Generation Sequencing enables us to sequence whole geneomes of an organism.

To sequence the genome of an organism we need to perform the following steps:

1. Isolate the DNA.

2. Purify DNA.

3. Fragmentize genomic DNA.

4. End repair of DNA fragments.

5. DNA modifications for NGS.

6. Cluster generation for NGS.

7. Next Generation Sequencing.
